Planning and preparing for a wedding is an exciting yet stressful time for most brides and grooms. Brides, grooms, and their families often spend a tremendous amount of time and money hiring florists, musicians, and caterers to help plan for a successful wedding. Enlisting the help of a qualified personal trainer is just as important help to make the planning process as stress free as possible, while helping the soon-to-be betrothed look healthy and fit for the big occasion.

• There are three factors one should consider when looking to hire a trainer:
1.Qualifications—It is essential that the trainer is certified by a nationally accredited fitness organization. An additional degree in a fitness related or health science field is also important.
2. Personality Interview the trainer prior to hiring him or her to ensure that his/her personality is compatible with yours. Do you want a trainer who encourages you like a cheerleader or would you prefer to work with a trainer who shouts commands like a drill sergeant?
3. Trial Session Will the trainer offer you a free or deeply discounted initial trial workout session? This will allow you to determine whether or not the trainer is suited to your personality and whether or not he or she demonstrates genuine interest in you and your goals.
The bottom line is that you should hire a trainer who is knowledgeable, dedicated, focused, and motivated.

• Once you have found a trainer who is qualified and with whom you feel comfortable working, it is imperative that you share with the trainer what your goals are. For example, for the bride to be, are you wearing a strapless dress and would like to focus on sculpting your shoulders and arms? For the groom to be, are you looking to shed inches in your abdominal area so that your tuxedo will fit more comfortably?
Enhance your training sessions by planning and executing workouts on the days
you are not scheduled to work with your trainer. Ask your trainer to suggest and
to demonstrate exercises that you can perform on your own time.
Finally, remember that your wedding is a starting point of a new phase in your
life! Recognize that it is also a crucial time to formalize a commitment to taking
care of yourself through the journey of life.
